Poncho Dress.

I love Free People simply for it's uniqueness. I love that they have sales that are reasonable within a month or two after an article of clothing comes out. Every week they have new pieces on display and not every thing is the same pattern or made the same, which makes it unique and one-of-a-kind.

I saw this on the sale rack months ago, and instantly purchased it. Then saw it again on Pinterest last month. This is perfectly my style and breathable for spring/summer heat!

Interior Detail.

Both of my parents were interior designers and my sister is great at crafts and design as well. But unfortunately I never really got that gene. I always have trouble putting furniture or interior design detail together. I am sure of what I like but I am not good with keeping the same theme. Example: beaded snakeskin pillow with a boho theme? Apparently they don't vibe well. Anyways, I found this little piece on sale (of course) and I absolutely love it! Such a great unique piece and I found it both at target for a fair price.

Yogi footwear.

I was on my way to yoga the other day thinking that it would be great to have a stylish pair of sandals that were easy to slip on and off for yoga and Pilates but comfortable enough to walk around and run errands in after. Thanks for my sister for referring these to me. These are Sanuk brand and they are $35. You can find the grey online at lowest $28 and the coral pink $34 lowest. Moosejaw.com has a great selection of colors and deals. I love these flip flops for many reasons besides how cute they look on! They are made from recycled yoga mats. They are unbelievably comfortable and there are a few ways to wear them. The fabric is a stretchy soft cotton blend. Sanuk is good brand and holds up well so if you are willing to spend the extra money on comfy and cute sandals, I recommend these!

Spring has finally sprung.

The Snow The Sun is finally here:

I have been playing around with videos lately and here are a few I made during the shoot. I am a newbie but having so much fun with it.

So happy that spring is here-even with the rain there is some sun and here comes the most exciting season for fashion.

What I am currently loving:

Palazzo pants - are so much fun! I love the exaggerated flare bell bottoms and high waisted top of them.

Midi rings - they are super inexpensive and add detail to your accesories. Nordstroms BP section and Free People has some great options for a cheaper price!

Headbands - are so much fun and easy for a quick fix for your hair, flower headbands are everywhere.

Midi cropped tops are great for people who don't want to wear a crop top or show a lot of skin but it hits just at the top of your jean line.

Shoes - anythjng platform, chunky heel or wedge. Love anything jeffrey campbell or inspired chunky heels are everywhere!

Handmade love.

My sister a.k.a. The world traveler came back last week from a 3-4 week trip to climb mountains in Chile and Argentina. She brought back this gorgeous piece of handmade love today. I love the details but I mostly love it for it's culture and the work that someone put into making this. Thanks for thinking of me Meghan!

Jean on Jean on Jean.

I never thought I would agree with jean on jean Travis Travis kind of wear but I believe there is a correct way to wear it and then...there's the 90's country acid wash on acid wash way to wear it. I like to try new styles and I am always open to taking risks with unique clothes. I believe there is always a way to pull styles off if you pair the right pieces together. Lighter shade on top and darker jean on the bottom is a safe bet. This jacket has the cutest details: long thick string ties, pinstriped hood, cape style back and nautical buttons.

Spring fever.

Caught spring fever

This winter has been ridiculously long...I am over it.

If the temperature is not going to climb up, I am going to dress like it in hopes that it may persuade the weather Gods into some warmth and sun. Last week I packed all of my winter clothes up with the exception of a few jackets booties and jeans. I have avoided looking at the weather online or the app because of the ongoing winter depression. Here's to hoping we make our own spring and just start dressing like it!

Overall Lovin

Love all things overall/jean right now. I love the 90s and how anything really goes. I give props to our generation for making fashion fun again.
Overalls: Levi Brand-I recently saw some at Target, Forever 21, nordstroms, American Eagle and nordstroms.

This gingham and lace off the shoulder crop top is my favorite. Both coral and navy were too cute not to buy.

Mainly obsessed with these unique sandals at FP. I love the embroidery, fabric and leather.

Free People Romantics:

My friend Haley calls this my "Little House on the Prairie" dress...probably rightfully so. I cannot wait to wear cowgirl boots or some wedges with this!

Sunglasses:

These are my favorite pairs that I wear every day.

Francescas
These are a tad eccentric but I love them. I call them my Lennon lenses.

Of course the classic Bans...

These Cole Haan are my rounder glasses but thicker black shades. I usually wear these when I want to be pretty casual.
Forever 21 thankfully feeds my love for headbands for $1.99.

Self preservation.

Second post--I am not here to talk about fitness goals or go on about working out. This blog is all about the key to my closet. I do work out usually every day or 5 out of the 7 days a week so athletic clothes are a staple in my closet. I try to incorporate/combine all of my passions as much as possible. Years ago I would would wear cut off shirts or old high school/middle school tees and basketball shorts. While this is great for saving money, they quickly became gross and not as comfortable (especially with as often as I work out). I started trying a few different brands of shirts and became addicted to a few brands I stay loyal to. I don't like to spend money at lululemon or nordstroms-karma, etc. I do like those brands but I don't let myself buy it hardly ever because of the price range. The few lulu, karma and Zella that I do have I prefer to wear as comfy cute clothes and less gym time clothes. I love the details of athletic pieces. I go to Marshall's and Tjmaxx for a lot of my active wear and bottoms. I wear Marshall's leggings or Nike tempo shorts on bottom 99% of the time and neutral colors. There are three brands or items that are my absolute go-to for tops:

The first being under armour UA tech vneck. It's semi fitted so it's loose and comfy while running and the fabric is light and dry. They are priced at $25 but at Tjmaxx I have managed to spot a couple for $12. I am a Nike girl through and through; I love Nike shorts, long sleeve, tanks and shoes. Nike has a version of this shirt and they fit long, tight and have more of a cotton blend in them. They are also a bit more costly for as uncomfortable and an unflattering fit (on me).

P.S. These are collected over 2 years of gifts, gift cards and attmitedly sprees. Once you wear one to work out it you'll never want to wear anythjng else! Super comfy.

The next brand, surprisingly, that I love is American Eagle Performace. I prefer only to wear it to do yoga or a class because it's not as comfortable for running or cardio.

They range between $20-30 but every time I buy aeo Performace it is on sale. Usually always on sale* right now for under $10. Lots of lace, peplum and neon--Great for night runs.

I do love clothes and deals so sometimes I will look at higher brand for pieces that are classic or will keep well.
This is my favorite jacket by: Karma.
